סוגי ציפויים
ציפוי קונפורמי אקרילי (AR) ציפוי קונפורמי אקרילי הוא הפופולרי מכולם. הוא מציע עמידות לחות גבוהה. עמיד בפני זיהומים, קל ליישום ולהסרה, התמצקות מהירה, הגעה לתכונות פיזיות מיטביות תוך דקות ומספק חיי מדף ארוכים. הציפוי האקרילי אינו מתכווץ, בעל עמידות כימית טובה ועמידות גבוהה לטמפרטורה.
בציפוי אקרילי ניתן לבצע תיקונים במהירות במהלך תיקונים בעזרת ממיסים או באמצעות הלחמה ישירות דרכו.
ציפוי ננו: 3M ™ Novec – ציפוי בעל כימיה דקה (0.1 - 6 מיקרון) ונוחה לשימוש במיוחד, המציעה מרחב בטיחות רחב לעובדים ולסביבה. מיושם ברמת צמיגות נמוכה ונמוכה במשטח פנים של פולימרים פלואוריים. מציע ביצועי RF טובים. קל מאוד לתיקונים והסרה. ניתן ליישום במכונת ריסוס אוטומטית.
סיליקון (SR)- ציפוי קונפורמי סיליקוני הוא ציפוי גמיש, שקוף ורך המציע עמידות בפני קורוזיה ולחות, טמפרטורה גבוהה (200 מעלות צלזיוס), תכונות דיאלקטריות טובות, ובעל יכולות העברת אור יוצאת דופן ליישומים סולאריים. בציפוי סיליקון ניתן לבצע תיקונים על ידי שימוש בחומרים כימיים.
ציפוי אפוקסי (ER) ציפוי אפוקסי מספק עמידות גבוהה בפני שחיקה ועמידות כימית טובה, אך עמידות ירודה בפני לחות וביצועים דיאלקטריים נמוכים. מומלץ לבצע חיץ סביב רכיבים עדינים, מכיוון שקיימת ההצטמקות במהלך הפילמור. ניתן למזער את הצטמקות על ידי טיפול בטמפרטורה נמוכה. ניתן למרוח חומר אפוקסי באמצעות ציפוי מברשת, ריסוס או טבילה. בדרך כלל ציפוי אפוקסי קשה עד בלתי אפשרי להסרה.

Acrylic conformal coating (AR) Acrylic conformal coating is the most popular of all. It offers high humidity resistance. fungus resistant, ease for application and removal, fast curing, reaching optimum physical properties in minutes and provide long pot life. Acrylic also do not exhibit shrinkage and relatively high dielectric characteristic, good chemical resistance, and temperature resistance. Acrylic can be quickly reworked during rework with solvents or by soldering directly through.
Nano Coating: 3M™ Novec - Ultra-thin (0.1 - 6 micron). Chemistry that offers a wide margin of safety for workers and is sustainable for the environment.
Micro coating is a family of clear, low viscosity, low surface tension solutions of fluorinated polymers carried in segregated hydrofluoroether solvents. Easy to apply and very easy to remove.
Silicone (SR)
Silicone Conformal Coating is a flexible, transparent, soft coating which offers very high moisture, corrosion and humidity resistance, high temperature (200° C), good dielectric properties, and has exceptional light transmission capabilities for solar applications. Silicone requires chemical strippers for removal or repairs.
Epoxy (ER) Epoxy coating provides very high abrasion resistance, chemical resistance but poor moisture and dielectric performance. A buffer is recommended around delicate components, since film shrinkage occurs during polymerization. The shrinkage can be minimized by curing at a low temperature. Epoxy resins can be applied by brush, spray, or dip-coating. Usually a two-part thermosetting coating that is very difficult to remove.
(UR)- Polyurethane or Urethane: Available either single or two-component formulations. Offers excellent chemical resistance combined with temperature and dielectric characteristics. Provide excellent humidity resistance and far greater chemical resistance than Acrylic coatings. These are hard durable coatings their high level of chemical resistance however can be a major drawback since their rework can prove difficult and costly.
Removing Conformal Coatings
Real Chip provides conformal coating removal services. When PCB assemblies need to be reworked due to functional failure or RMA, the original conformal coating will need to be stripped.
